I'm going to the Processing for Android workshop taught by Andrés Colubri at [Fathom][^fathom] next Wednesday, March 28, 2018 (5:30–8:00 PM)[^date] in Boston, Massachusetts.
Andrés Colubri is a long time Processing contributor, and is now leading the Processing for Android project. He recently published Processing for Android: Create Mobile, Sensor-Aware, and VR Applications Using Processing. (See it on Amazon.)
In this workshop, we will learn the basics of Processing for Android, and how to use it to create interactive live wallpapers, VR apps, and watch faces that read sensor data. No previous Android knowledge is required. Bring your laptop, and an android device if you have one (if not, you can still run your Processing code on the emulator).
There is a modest, five-dollar registration fee to cover pizza and beer. (Yay!) You can Get your ticket on Eventbrite. See you there?
[^fathom]: In their words, "Fathom Information Design helps clients understand and express complex data through information graphics, interactive tools, and software for installations, the web, and mobile devices." [^date]: Due to the weather conditions present in Boston, Massachusetts, on Friday, March 2, 2018, the workshop was re-scheduled to a later date.
